BALD HILLS
A 10 km trek, with an elevation gain of 480 m, renders this hike to the abandoned
site of the Bald Hills Fire Lookout a more rigorous hike. Panoramic views of the
Maligne Valley, the Opal Hills and the Queen Elizabeth Range are a highlight of
this outing as are the riot of wildflowers that populate the sub-alpine meadow
traversed en route.

| OPAL HILLS
Hikers work for their reward on this 8.2 km loop trail which features interesting geology and exceptional views of Maligne Lake. Upper sub-alpine and sub-alpine wildflowers abound from late July to August while unusual krummholz tree islands exhibit themselves throughout the season.
